About SOOOP
SOOOP is a Hong Kong-based animation curation event that showcases sessions of fresh animation shorts. Having begun with a series of curations in 2023 to celebrate local talent, SOOOP’s events centre around screenings and animation-focused panel discussions, in order for local industry professionals and emerging talent to forge new connections with one another, as well as to share the joy of watching animation in the short film format with the broader public.
Alongside local picks, SOOOP consistently brings the best in international contemporary animation to town and celebrates animation beyond the screen, inviting artists who bring the medium into the interactive, physical realm to collaborate and explore their practice.
