Soho House Shorts
Saturday 11th November 2023 – Soho House and SOOOP present a diverse selection of four award-winning shorts, including the melancholy and peculiar Eeva; the freewheeling 3D romp that is Sierra; the unsettling, and true, stop-motion Bestia; and the poignant, handdrawn Ice Merchants. Both Eeva and Sierra were shortlisted for the 2023 and 2024 Oscars respectively, while Bestia and Ice Merchants secured Oscar nominations in 2022 and 2023.

Eeva — Lucija Mrzljak and Morten Tsinakov | 2022
It's a sad day in Eva's life. The rain is pouring down at her husband's funeral. A woodpecker delivered a messago code on the coffin is killed. There is a lot of crying, too much wine, and a couple of dreams that fill in the gaps.
Sierra — Sander Joon | 2022
A father and his son are losing the folkrace. In order to win, a boy turns himself into a car tire. Loosely inspired by the director's childhood, Sierra pulls us into the surreal car racing world.
Bestia — Hugo Covarrubias | 2021
Ingrid works as a secret police agent during the Chilean military dictatorship. However, her relationship with her dog and her daily activities reveal a grim fracture in her mind and in an entire country.
Ice Merchants — João Gonzalez | 2022
Every day, a father and his son jump with a parachute from their vertiginous cold house, attached to a cliff, to sell ice at a village far away on the ground.
